Emergency Setpoint – establishes an emergency (back-up) boiler operating setpoint in the event communication
is lost between boilers, or if the system sensor is not connected. Set via Installer menu setting 2-21 of each
boiler in the cascade.
VM153 Internal Diverter Valve – when acting as Manager in a cascade heating an
Indirect Water Heater, the internal diverter valve of the VM153 must be “locked” in the
Central Heating position. Simply remove any DHW demand from the boiler, apply a
Central Heat demand, watch the diverter valve move to the Central Heat position
(actuator shaft retracted), then remove the electrical cable from the actuator – now the
diverter valve is “locked” in the Central Heating position.
