Inordertoavoid“bitchatter”andtoobtainthebestresults,cuts
needtobemadeinananti-clockwisedirectionforexternalcuts
andaclockwisedirectionforinternalcuts(Pic.16).
REPLACING THE CARBON BRUSHES
(PICS.17 & 18)
IftheperformanceofyourRouterispoororthereisexcessive
sparking visible through vents on top of the machine the carbon
brushes need replacing.
Removethetwocrossheadscrewsthatsecurethebrushcover
(Pic.17).Carefullyremovethecover.
Locate the brushes (one each side) and lift upwards and
outwards. Be careful not to disturb any wiring. Hold the black
outercasing(18.1)andremovethespringloadedcarbonbrush
(Pic.18).
Alwaysreplaceinpairsobtainablefromyourstockist.Re-fitthe
carbonbrushesandplacebackintoposition.Repeatoperation
for other side.
Ensure that the machines ventilation slots are kept clear
of sawdust/chippings etc. Keep plunge guides clean and
lubricated with a light multi purpose oil. There are no other user
serviceable parts in this unit.
