Overview

The OEMTOOLS® 24"/30" Outdoor Oscillating Wall Mount Fan is a robust air circulation device designed for workshops, garages, and other structures where it may be exposed to splashing water or light rain. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for its safe operation, assembly, and maintenance, emphasizing user safety and product longevity.

Function Description:

The primary function of the OEMTOOLS® Outdoor Oscillating Wall Mount Fan is to circulate air effectively in various environments. Its oscillating feature ensures a wider distribution of air, making it suitable for larger spaces. The fan is designed for wall mounting, which helps save floor space and allows for optimal positioning to direct airflow. Its water-resistant motor makes it particularly suitable for outdoor or semi-outdoor applications where exposure to moisture is a concern. The fan offers multiple speed settings, allowing users to adjust the airflow intensity according to their needs.

Important Technical Specifications:

The fan is available in two sizes: 24" and 30".

  • Weight: The 24" model weighs 31.3 Lb., and the 30" model weighs 32.9 Lb.
  • Speeds: Both models feature 3 speed settings (Low, Medium, High).
  • Output Power: 1/7 HP.
  • Voltage: 120V/60Hz.
  • Current: 2.0A.
  • CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute): The 24" model provides 6800 CFM, while the 30" model provides 7200 CFM, indicating strong air movement capabilities.
  • RPM (Revolutions Per Minute): 1080 RPM for both models.
  • Sound Pressure Level (dB): The 24" model operates at 74 dB, and the 30" model at 76 dB.
  • Ingress Protection (IP) Rating: IP44, signifying protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and splashing water from any direction.
  • UL Listed: E30225, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Usage Features:

  • Wall Mount Installation: The fan can be installed on concrete walls or wall studs. The manual provides detailed instructions for both, including marking hole locations, drilling, inserting anchors (for concrete), and securing the mounting bracket with bolts.
  • Adjustable Fan Angle: The fan's angle can be adjusted by loosening the Handwheel and removing a bolt, allowing the fan to pivot to the desired position before re-securing. This feature enables users to direct airflow precisely where needed.
  • Oscillation Function: The fan includes an oscillation knob (d) that, when pressed, activates the oscillating function for wider air distribution. Pulling the knob locks the fan in a fixed position.
  • Speed Control: A pull chain (e) allows users to select from four settings: 0 (OFF), 1 (Low), 2 (Medium), and 3 (High).
  • GFCI Protection: The fan is equipped with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for enhanced electrical safety. Users are instructed to test the GFCI before each use by pressing the RESET and TEST buttons.
  • Safety Cable: A safety cable is provided to attach the motor to a heavy fixed object, preventing the fan from falling if it dislodges from the mounting bracket. This is a critical safety feature.
  • Water-Resistant Motor: The IP44 rating and water-resistant motor make it suitable for environments where it might be exposed to splashing water or light rain, expanding its application possibilities beyond typical indoor fans.
  • Ease of Assembly: The manual outlines a step-by-step assembly process, from connecting the swivel adapter to mounting the guards and fan blade, ensuring a straightforward setup.

Maintenance Features:

  • Pre-Maintenance Safety: Users are warned to unplug the fan before performing any maintenance to prevent electrical hazards.
  • Cleaning: The fan motor should not be cleaned with water, despite its water-resistant nature, to prevent malfunction. A vacuum cleaner is recommended for removing dust from the protective fan guard and blades.
  • Guard Removal for Cleaning: The front protective fan guard can be removed to access the fan blades for thorough cleaning. It is crucial to ensure the guard is securely reattached before use.
  • Damp Cloth Cleaning: A damp cloth can be used to wipe the Front Guard for external cleaning.
  • Regular Inspection: The manual emphasizes regular inspection for damage, loose parts, or any condition affecting operation. Damaged products should be tagged "DO NOT USE" and serviced by qualified personnel.
  • Replacement Parts: Only identical replacement parts should be used for servicing to maintain product integrity and safety.
  • Storage: When not in use, the fan should be stored in an upright position in a clean, dry area, away from flammable items or open flames.
  • Motor Life Extension: To extend the life of the fan motor, it is recommended to allow the fan to run for at least one minute at each speed setting before switching to the next.

The OEMTOOLS® 24"/30" Outdoor Oscillating Wall Mount Fan is designed with user safety and product durability in mind, offering a reliable solution for air circulation in demanding environments.
