14.3 Replacing quick couplings secured with nose nuts
Description of the parts:
1. Angle connector
2. Quick coupling
3. Nose nut
4. Assembly tool
5. Torque wrench
Clean these surfaces thoroughly.
 Insert the quick coupling (2) in the seat on the H-cylinder and tighten the nose nut (3) by hand.
 Screw the nose nut on the quick coupling, applying the torque shown below.
 Connect the hose again.

Procedure:
 Stop the excavator and depressurize the hydraulic system.
 Disconnect the hydraulic hose from the angle connector (1).
 Remove the dirt guard.
 Remove the guide plate.
 The nose nut (3) on the coupling (2) is now accessible.
 Remove the nose nut (3) with the assembly tools (4-5).
 Pull the quick coupling out of the H-cylinder.
 Before assembly, the seat on the H-cylinder needs to be degreased
 Clean the quick coupling parts (see illustration below).
Tightening torque
1/2” 175±25 Nm
3/4” 275±25 Nm
1” 375±25 Nm
