Target End Users
The B700 Series targets the important medium and large sized workgroup mono printer market which
represents an opportunity to capture significant mono page volumes.
The B700 Series range gives users price, performance and running cost choices so they can match the
unit to their needs. All models are high speed and will fulfil the printing requirements of busy
workgroups that need a reliable and easy to use printer for producing general business and transactional
documents such as correspondence, invoices, statements, shipping notes etc.
The B700 Series are perfect for critical business printing environments where quality of output, flexibility
of paper supply and minimal user interventions are key purchasing decision factors.
Positioning
The B700 Series takes on the medium to large workgroup segment and meets much of the requirements
of this segment such as flexible paper supply, easy to change consumables as well as performance and
reliability.
Sales of medium to large workgroup mono printers are predominantly into the corporate market where
there is a large volumes of transactional printing taking place. This includes documents such as policy
documents, shipping notes, customer correspondence, invoices etc.
Whilst there has been a tendency to place large MFPs in these environments there is now a trend to
move away from centralised MFP placement with companies recognising that having single function
devices in the right places can bring hardware cost savings and efficiency savings that outweigh the
lower cpc of the centralised MFP.
Pricing
Pricing will start with the B710n at approximately the same level as B6300n and will be keenly
competitive against a range of competitors.
Consumables
The various models have access to different sizes of toners which will in turn determine the cpc.
The starter toner included in all the machines is 10K.
B710 Toner: 15K
B720 Toner: 15K & 20K
B730 Toner: 15K & 25K
