Shoot a subject.
Sound recording will start
approximately 0.5 second after
the shutter button is pressed.
While recording sound, the
green lamp and the record
mark displayed on the control
panel will flash, and a bar will
be displayed on the LCD
monitor.

Note:
Sound cannot be recorded with a picture shot in the TIFF mode, but it can
be added later during playback.
You can record sound with a recorded still picture afterwards. (p. 118)
Sound recording will start after the picture is taken but before it is
recorded in the card. After shooting, confirm the display of the LCD
monitor and the control panel, and keep the camera’s microphone (p. 24)
directed at the subject from whom you want to record sound.
The sound may not be recorded clearly if there is a distance of 1 m or
more between subject and camera.
It is not possible to take pictures during sound recording.
