MULTI METERING
1 When using the camera in the
A/S/M mode, multi-metering is not
available in the M mode. Set to any
mode except M.

• If a function other than AE lock is
registered on x, set AE lock to the
button.

2 In the top menu, select ESP/5 Æ MULTI, and press e.
• In the top menu, the setting can be made in the same way as selecting
MODE MENU Æ CAMERA Æ ESP/5 Æ MULTI.

•Press e again to exit the menu.
3 Position the AF target mark on the
area you want to meter and press
x. The brightness is metered
at up to 8 different points.
• Multi-metering bar appears.
• Brightness meter readings are ignored
after the 9th reading.
• To perform metering again, press
x for more than 1 second to display C. Press x again
to cancel the metering values.
