Recording Overwrite Recording

Press the NEW button to create a new file.

Press the REC button to start recording.
The record/play indicator lamp glows red.
Aim the microphone at the sound source.

Press the STOP button to stop recording.
If you want to append additional recordings to
the same file, press the REC button again.

Getting Started
Power Save Mode
When the recorder is ON but not in use for sometime,
it will switch to power save mode automatically. To
reactivate the recorder again, press any of the buttons
on the recorder.

Insert Recording

Select and play the file you want to
overwrite.

Stop playback at the starting point of
overwrite.

Press the REC button to start overwriting.
The record/play indicator lamp glows red.

Press the STOP button to stop overwriting.

Select and play the file you want to insert
an additional recording into.

While playing the file, press the
FOLDER/MENU button to insert an
additional recording.
“INSERT ?” appears on the display.

Press the REC button to start inserting
an additional recording.
The record/play indicator lamp glows red.
“INSERT REC” and the remaining recording
time will alternate on the display.

Press the STOP button to stop inserting
the additional recording.

CUSTOM Button (Programmable)
The CUSTOM button can be
assigned two kinds of functions by
being pressed in different ways. By
default, the button is programmed
on PRIORITY for both ways:

Recording Operations

Standard Recording

Press NEW to create a file, REC to start recording, and STOP to stop recording.

Overwrite Recording

Select file, stop playback at start point, press REC to overwrite, then STOP.

Insert Recording

Select file, use FOLDER/MENU to insert, press REC to start, then STOP.

Playback and File Management

Playback Controls

Use FF, REW, Cue, Review, Fast skip, Backward skip for playback functions.

Erasing a File

Select file, press ERASE, confirm "FILE ERASE?", press ERASE again to erase.

System Settings and Alerts

Menu List Options

Access settings like REC MODE, MIC SENSE, LOCK, FORMAT via the menu.

Alarm Message List

Lists system messages like BATTERY LOW, MEMORY FULL, SYSTEM ERROR with actions.
