The OM-3Ti's multi-spot metering system provides
highly sophisticated light measurements. Let us take
an example in the picture above. If you want to place
emphasis on the exposure of the girl, taking the
background brightness into consideration, too, you
can take two spot meterings on her face and one spot
metering on the background, for instance. Exposure
is determined from the average of these three values,
with greater emphasis on the girl (a 2:1 lighting ratio).
With this system, photographers can weight their
exposures so as to make sure the prime subject is
exposed properly and the secondary subject is con-
sidered. This is now done without guesswork, in a
straightforward easy to understand manner.
