Shooting through the monitor

Turn the camera on with the n button.
The back monitor will turn on.

Rotate the mode dial to
set the shooting mode.

Frame the shot.
When you look through the
viewfinder, the back monitor
automatically turns off and
the viewfinder switches on.
You can also switch the
display manually.

When switching the display manually, the viewfinder and the back monitor display
switches each time the monitor button is pressed.

Press the shutter button
halfway to focus.
If the AF target mark blinks
in red, the subject is not in
focus.
Adjust focus again.
