4.4 State of health (SOH) of the battery
It is possible to read out the state of health (SOH) of the battery via the menu Setup ► Battery Info
(→ User Manual, chapter Setup).
Note that the SOH is the "digital image" of a chemical process, and therefore not a absolute accurate
representation. It can change in both directions over time. The SOH is updated with every full
discharge-charge cycle.
To enforce an update
1)
, perform as follows:
1. Read out the state of health (SOH).
2. Disconnect the charger.
3. Output 10 A to a short circuit until the output stops due to low battery level.
4. Wait until the test set switches off due to low battery level.
5. Fully recharge the device.
6. If the change of the SOH was more that 4 %, repeat the procedure.
