VOLT PROCESSING
AM Presets
NB and WB suffixes stand for “Narrow” and “Wide” band optimization. These variations are built
with different crossover frequencies. The most appropriate choice will depend on the bandwidth
available for your broadcast, listeners’ receiver characteristics, and your programming goals. Our
factory default is a wideband preset.
ClassicalNB
ClassicalWB
Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart and their peers would love hearing the
nuances of their Classics through VOLT: AM. It applies gentle level
control and overmodulation protection, while keeping vital dynamic
range intact.
CountryNB
CountryWB
Country on AM just “sounds right”, doesn’t it? Blake, Carrie, Luke, and
Keith, as well as Garth, Dolly, Randy, and George all come through clean
and clear on AM with VOLT.
LatinaNB
LatinaWB
From south of the border Tejano to salsa and the Caribbean, the rich
music punches through AM better than ever. Plus the high-energy
personalities come through clear and lively.
OldiesNB
OldiesWB
Order up your malts and put on the poodle skirts! The hits of radio’s
golden era are on the air again. Oldies radio through VOLT: AM take you
right back to your “best old days”.
SpokenWordNB
SpokenWordWB
Designed for produced and long-form programs that include the
spoken word, including radio drama. It’s for radio the way it was in
the early days… but with today’s Omnia fidelity and clarity.
TalkVeryLiteNB
TalkVeryLiteWB
Audio that is clean and clear like the finest on many public radio stations.
For talk shows, educational presentations, and even some music, this is a
“one size fits all” for the most dynamic talk presentations.
TalkLiteNB
TalkLiteWB
It’s a step up to a louder preset than Talk Very Light, but still very
dynamic. Well suited for non controversial talk, great for female voice,
and keeps listener fatigue low.
TalkMediumNB
TalkMediumWB
Crank it up a notch! This is a rather LOUD setting, and keeps hosts and
callers levels quite evenly matched. Try this if Talk Light needs a little
heavier foot on the accelerator. This also sounds great on play-by-play
sports.
TalkAggressiveNB
TalkAggressiveWB
Kick out the jams! Burn a hole on the dial and make sure your
transmitter can take it. The competition won’t know what hit them!
(Your mod monitor may never forgive you.)
