iPod / iPhone Playback
Compatible iPod/iPhone models
Made for:
iPod touch (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation),
iPod classic, iPod nano (2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th
generation), iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS,
iPhone 3G, iPhone
Note:
With the following iPod/iPhone, the charging mode
does not work when it is connected in standby mode.
iPod touch (1st, 2nd and 3rd generation), iPod nano
(2nd generation), iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPhone
Tip:
You can also use the [INPUT] button, [2] button and
[MENU/ENTER] jog dial on the front panel.
The [RETURN] button is used as a menu button.
For the basic button operation and play mode, refer to
“Using USB interface/Network Service” (see
page 23). With some iPod/iPhone models and
generations, certain buttons may not work as
expected.
Note:
The USB port (rear) cannot be used for the playback
of iPod/iPhone.
Extended Mode Control
The music content information is displayed as follows,
and you can control the music content while looking at
the display.
Playlists, Artists, Albums, Genres, Songs, Composers,
Shuffle Songs, Now Playing.
Standard Mode Control
The content information is not displayed, but can be
operated using the iPod/iPhone or the remote controller.
Playing an iPod/iPhone via USB

Press the [USB] button repeatedly to select
the “USB(F)” input.

Connect the USB cable that comes with the
iPod/iPhone to the USB port on the front of
the CD receiver.
Tip:
When connecting your iPod/iPhone with a USB
cable, we recommend you use an official USB
cable from Apple Inc.
Press and hold the Stop [2] button to toggle
between Extended Mode and Standard Mode.
When you disconnect the iPod/iPhone, the CD
receiver remembers the current mode. This means
that if you disconnect when in Extended Mode,
the CD receiver will start in Extended Mode the
next time you connect the iPod/iPhone.

Use the Arrow [!]/["] buttons to select a
folder, and then press [ENTER] to open it.

Use Arrow [!]/["] buttons to select a
music file, and press [ENTER] or the Play
[1] button to start playback.
