Before
turning
the
power
on,
confirm
that
all

have
been
made
properly.

same

power

last
turned

During
FM
reception
of
any
RDS
station

PS,

When
you
want
to
see
the
frequency,
press
the
DISPLAY
button.
Press
it
again
to
return
to
the
original
display.
If
there
is
no
PS
or
character
display,
the
frequency
will
be
is
increased.
Pressing
««
DOWN
decreases
the
frequency.
Note
that
the
frequency
is
changed
in
50kHz
steps
in
FM
and
9kHz
steps
in
AM
when
the
Tuning
selector
buttons
is
pressed
in
single
steps.

If
this
button
is
pressed
continuously
for
more
than
0.5
second,
auto
tuning
mode
is
entered,
and
frequencies
are
scanned
automatically.
When
a
broadcast
signal
is
received,
scanning
stops.
If
a
different
frequency
is
desired,
press
the
button
once
again.

ifthe
FM
station
received
is
a
RDS
station
with
an
PS
(Program
Service
Name),
the
frequency
display
will
change
to
the
PS
display.
If
there
is
no
PS,
the
frequency
display
will
not
change.
(Refer
to
page
9
for
the
RDS
function.)

Scanning
will
not
stop
for
broadcasts
weak
enough
to
be
suppressed
by
the
muting
circuit.
To
receive
a
weak
FM
broadcast,
press
the
CABLE
button
to
light
the
CABLE
indicator,
and
select
the
frequency
of
the
desired
broadcast
station
in
single
steps.

SIGNAL
STRENGTH
FM
Stereo
Indicator
This
indicator
lights
when
an
FM
stereo
broadcast
is
being
re-
ceived.
It
does
not
light
when
a
weak
FM
stereo
broadcast
is
being
received.
If
you
want
to
listen
to
an
FM
broadcast
in
MONO
mode,
press
the
MODE
button
to
turn
the
Stereo
Indicator
off.

the

not
in

receive

range,

flashes
for
three
sec-
onds
and
then
the
previous
frequency
will
be
displayed.

been
set,
press
the
DIRECT/DELETE
button
and
start
again.
