form when the unit is in the tuner mode. Note that even
though the frequency display and some tuning indicators
remain lit when the PHONO or CD input selector is pressed,
reception is not possible. To return to the tuner mode, the
TUNER input selector must be pressed.
Stereo Indicator (FM STEREO PROGRAM)
This indicator lights when an FM stereo broadcast is being
received. Note that it does not light when the FM mute/mode
|_is in the OFF(MONO) position.

Pushing
this
button
cuts
off
all
frequencies

15Hz.
This
is
used
to
eliminate
motor
rumble

other
inaudible
low
frequency noises.
18] Shift Key and Indicator (SHIFT)
The
preset
station
keys
can
be
used
to
store
a
total
of
16
radio
stations,
Use
this
key
to
switch
the
preset
keys
between
the
memory
channel
1-8
and
9-16
mode.
Memory Key and Indicator
Press
this
key
to
place
a
station
in
the
memory
using
the
FM/AM
preset
keys
[7].
When
this
key
is
pressed,
the
indicator
lights
for
about
10
seconds.
While
the
indicator
is
lit,
press
one
of
the
preset
keys
to
store
a
station
in
the
memory.
The
indicator
above
the
pressed
preset
key
will
light
up
and
the
memory
indicator
will
go
out
to
indicate
that
memory
opera-
tion
has
been
completed.

because mutual interfer-

Speaker Selector (SPEAKERS)
This unit can drive two pairs of speakers in pairs (A or B) or
fours (A + B). To listen to both speaker systems at once,
depress both speaker selectors.
Dynamic Bass Expander Switch and Indicator
Use this switch to turn the dynamic bass expander on and off.
The dynamic bass expander is used to add an extra feeling of
power and realism to the low range. Its function is unlike that
of the bass and loudness controls. Refer to the dynamic bass
expander explanation for details.
Dynamic Bass Expander Volume Level Control
Adjust this control to raise and lower the amount of the
dynamic bass expander effect.
Stereo Image Expander Switch and Indicator (only T X-37)
Use this switch to turn the stereo image expander on and off.
The image stereo expander adds an extra feeling of width and
depth to stereo sound. Refer to the stereo image expander
explanation for details.
Stereo Image Expander Level Control! (only TX-37)
Adjust this control to raise and lower the amount of the stereo
image expander effect.
Headphone Jack (PHONES)
Stereo headphones with a standard binaural plug can be
connected here. Sound to the speakers is turned off when the
headphones plug is inserted.
