Power Button (POWER)
Input Selector Buttons
(CD, PHONO, TUNER, VIDEO-1, VIDEO-2.
TAPE-1, TAPE-2, SOURCE DIRECT)
* When the TUNER button is pressed, the
station which was received previously is
recalled. Selection of AM or FM should be
done on the main unit.
Phono Operation Button (PLAY/REJECT)
This button is used to operate the turntable.
The phono operation button can be used only
when the PHONO input selector button has
been pressed. Each time the phono operation
button is pressed, the remote contre! transmitter
alternately emits the play or reject command.
* Before starting record play using remote
control, confirm that there 1s a record on the
platter. If there is no record, the stylus will
be lowered to the platter, resulting in serious
damage to the stylus.
Sleep button (SLEEP) (Remote control transmitter onty)
Press to set the power off timer. The sleep timer is a function
which button off the power to the system from the time it is set.
When this button ts pressed, “90 MIN” is displayed for 5 seconds,
and the power goes off 90 minutes later. Each time the button
is pressed during 5 seconds, the timer setting changes, by 10
minute intervals, such as 80, 70, 60 .... While the sleep timer
is operating, the[SLEEP] indicator is lighted. If the steep button
is pressed during this time, the amount of time remaining on the
sleep timer is displayed, and if the button is pressed during that
display, 10 minutes will be subtracted from that time.
if the button ts pressed when the panel display shows 10 minutes
or less, the sleep timer is cancelled, and the power is not turned
off.
Speaker Selector Buttons (SPEAKERS)
Simul Source Button (SIMUL SOURCE)
Simul! Source Level Up/Down Buttons
(UP/DOWN)
These buttons are used to adjust the volume
in the Simul Source mode. Every time one of
| the buttons is pressed the display shows the
level for two seconds, the indication for the
sub Room output level ranges from the mini-
mum of ( oc dB), -79, -78... -1. to the
CD Operation Buttons (CD)
maximum of (OdB). Indications include
“iit for simul source. This level settings
can be memorized.

operates
when
Dolby
Surround
mode
has
been
selected
as
the
SURROUND
MODE.
Pink
noise
is
produced
in
order
to
match
the
volume
levels
used
by
the
Front,
Center,
and
Rear
speakers.
Please
follow
the
procedure
described
above
to
do
this
matching.
Press the TEST button again after finishing adjustment.

These buttons are used to adjust the volume in the Surround made.
Every
time
one
of
the
buttons
is
pressed,
the
display
shows
the
level
for two seconds. For the Surround mode, the indication for the
center or rear ranges from the minimum of (~ 22 dB), -67, -66
. 0, +1, ... to the maximum of (+12dB). Indications include

These buttons control ONKYO double cassette
tape decks that can be remote controlled. Use
1 the DECK-B buttons to contro! single cassette
™ tape decks with the fRI mark.

This button temporarily switches off the sound from the speaker

headphone.
Pressing

circuit.

on

remote

transmitter

power
