Automatic Precision Reception System (FM Mode)
APR system is ONKYO's unique computer-controlled system.
APR system automatically sets the RF stage gain (Distance/
Local), the NR function (OFF/ON) (TX-906 only) for reducing
noise in weak signals, the HI-BLEND function (OFF/ON) for
reducing noise in weak stereo signals, and the auto stereo/mono
reception modes to the proper settings for the qualily of the
broadcast currently being received. This indicator changes each
time the APR circuit switches between the LOCAL/DX, NR
OFF/ON, HI-BLEND OFF/ON or AUTO/MONO to show the
current APR setting. (APR system is effective for only FM re-
ception.)
