Function Description:
The OontZ Angle 3 Shower PLUS Edition serves as a portable audio device that connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. It can also connect to non-Bluetooth devices using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable. A key feature is its integration with Amazon Alexa, enabling users to issue voice commands for playing music, checking news and weather, controlling smart home devices, and more. The speaker also functions as a wireless hands-free personal speakerphone for answering and rejecting calls on connected smartphones and iPhones.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Water Resistance: IPX7 certified, meaning it is waterproof and can handle water spray from a shower, splashes, and partial or full submersion in water up to 3 feet deep for a maximum of 30 minutes. The rubber flap covering the connectors must be closed for it to be waterproof and dustproof.
- Battery Life: Up to 14 hours of music playtime on a full charge at 2/3 volume. Louder volumes will reduce playtime.
- Charging Time: Up to 5 hours to fully charge a low battery using a Micro USB charging cable.
- Bluetooth Range: Up to 100 unobstructed feet for pairing and connecting.
- Charging Input: Requires a USB wall charger that is 5V 1.0A up to 5V 2.4A maximum, or a USB port on a laptop/computer. Only UL listed USB wall chargers are recommended.

Usage Features:
- Buttons:
- Bluetooth (Dual Function): Press and Release to activate Alexa (Press-to-Talk). Press and hold for 5 seconds to disconnect the current device and enter pairing mode.
- Track Forward and Track Back: Press and Release to go to the next track. Hold for 1 second and Release to go to the previous track.
- Play/Pause: Press and Release to Pause/Play.
- Volume Down: Press to decrease volume.
- Volume Up: Press to increase volume.
- Power: Press and Release to turn ON. Press and Hold Down for 2 seconds to turn OFF.
- Lights:
- Blue Light: Flashing Blue indicates Bluetooth pairing mode. Solid Blue indicates the speaker is connected. Turns Solid Green when a 3.5mm audio cable is plugged into the AUX IN Jack.
- Red Light: Slowly flashing Red indicates the battery is charging. Solid Red indicates the battery is fully charged. Rapidly flashing Red when playing indicates low battery charge (less than 15%).
- Pairing and Connecting:
- Turns on with a flashing blue light, ready to pair.
- Automatically reconnects to the last paired device if within range.
- To connect to a new device, disconnect the current device by holding the Bluetooth button for 5 seconds.
- Pairing instructions are provided for iPhone, iPad, iPod, Smartphones, Tablets, Mobile Devices, Apple Mac, and Windows Laptops/Computers.
- Amazon Alexa Integration:
- Download the OontZ App from the Apple App Store® or Google Play™ Store.
- Launch the OontZ app, connect to the speaker, and log in with your Amazon Alexa account.
- Press and release the Bluetooth button on the speaker to talk to Alexa.
- Alexa functions include playing music, news, weather, smart home control, and more.
- Note: Alexa function is only available on iPhone or Smartphone running Android operating system when connected over Bluetooth.
- Siri Integration:
- Works with iPhone or iPad over Bluetooth.
- Press and Release the Bluetooth Button on the speaker, wait for a "chime," then talk to Siri through the mic.
- Hands-Free Personal Speakerphone:
- Works with Smartphones and iPhones only.
- Press and Release the Bluetooth Button to answer or end an incoming call.
- Press and Hold Down the Bluetooth Button for 3 seconds to reject an incoming call.
- Power Saving Feature:
- When playing from battery power, the speaker turns off after 30 minutes of no audio to conserve battery.
- When plugged into a charging source, it remains on until powered off (with exceptions for certain devices like Amazon Echo Dot and Echo).
- Lanyard Attachment: Instructions provided for securely attaching the included lanyard.
Maintenance Features:
- Charging the Battery: Use the provided Micro USB charging cable. The small end inserts into the charging connector on the speaker, and the larger end into a USB wall charger or computer USB port.
- Speaker Updates: The OontZ app allows for speaker firmware updates. Users can check the current firmware version and update if a new version is available. During updates, the speaker must be plugged into a power source, and phone calls should not interrupt the process.
- Reset Function: To reset the speaker, remove all cables, turn it off, then press and hold the Power button for 8 seconds.
Safety and Precautions:
- Never use the speaker in the shower, bath, or near water when it is plugged into a charging source to prevent electric shock.
- Protect the Micro USB charging cable from being pinched.
- Unplug the charging cable during lightning storms or long periods of disuse.
- Do not place the speaker near heat sources or naked flame sources.
- Do not expose the speaker to excessive heat.
- The battery is not replaceable.
- Use only agency-approved power supplies.
- If the battery leaks, avoid contact with skin or eyes and seek medical advice.
- The lanyard is not for children under 6 years of age due to choking hazard.
- The volume control on the device and the speaker work independently. For loudest volume, set both to maximum.
