THERMAL CUT-OUT DEVICE
A Thermal cut-out device was mounted in the motor. When overheats due to various
reasons, it will cut off automatically.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS:
The cord has a plug as shown in Figure A. See Figure 1 for grounding instruction. An
adapter as shown at C is available for connecting three-blade grounding type plugs to
two-slot receptacles. The green grounding plug extending from the adapter must be
connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box.
The adapter should not be used if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available. Always
plug fans directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or
relocatable power tap
(outlet/power strip).
CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Always unplug the fan before cleaning, disassembly or servicing.
use only a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the fan clean.
• To clean between the grilles, we recommend using a pipe cleaner, flexible
dustwand, vacuum cleaner or compressed air to gently remove the dust.
• DO NOT immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip into the motor
housing.
• DO NOT use gasoline, paint thinner or other chemicals to clean the fan.
• For storage, you may leave the fan assembled and covered to protect it from dust.
Store the fan in a cool and dry place.
AFTER SEASON CARE:
• Your fan can be stored in the off-season either partially disassembled or assembled.
• Before putting the fan in storage, clean thoroughly, cover with a vinyl bag and store
in a cool and dry place. We recommend using the original (or appropriately sized)
box.
