5. Inspection, maintenance, and adjustment
Please inspect the machine using the “Periodic inspection table” and “Inspection before operation
section for safe and comfortable operation. Perform any maintenance before working.
・ This machine is shipped WITHOUT engine oil. Fill with engine oil to the correct level before
starting the engine, even if there are traces of residual oil in the engine from factory testing.
・ Please always use the proper quality oil, see below. The proper oil for the outside temperature will
ensure the best performance.
・ When adding oil, pour slowly. Without caution, it may overfill and spill.
・ Please inspect the machine in an open and flat area with the engine off.
・ Engine and oil are at high temperatures immediately after engine stops. Make sure that any parts
cool down before any inspection, maintenance, or lubrication.
Follow all instructions to avoid injury and damage.
5.1.1 How to change the gear oil
Inspection・Replacement… Be sure to use the quantity directed
1.Remove the cover by taking out 4 bolts.
2.Remove the oil check bolt (M6) on left side of the transmission
shown. If gear oil exudes, there is enough gear oil in it. If not, add
gear oil from the inlet at the oil plug.
3.Replace the oil if it gets dirty.
Replacement…
1.Place an oil pan under the transmission.
2. Remove the drain plug at the bottom of the engineand drain old oil. Check
any damages on O-rings and packing.
3.After draining old oil, make sure to screw in the drainplug securely, and
add the recommended gear oil (#80, 2.1 qt.(2L))
