Use
Operating the Vacuum
1. Make sure the Disposable Odor Fighting
dust bag is in place. DO NOT operate the
cleaner without a dust bag.
2. Release the cord: twist cord dump located
on Helping Hand
®
handle one-half turn.
Slide the cord off the handle.
3. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
4. Press the power button when ready to
operate. Press the high or low button
depending on the speed you wish to use.
5. Up-Position Lock:
Place your foot on the
power head and lean
handle back gently to
release lock for vac-
uum use. Return
handle to the full
upright position
to engage lock.
Important! Ensure the Oreck Edge upright vacuum disposable
dust filter bag is securely in place and the outer bag is zipped.
Dust and debris will be released into the room if this step is
not taken.
6. Carry Handle: Use the carry handle located
on back of the vacuum for easy lifting,
carrying, and stair vacuuming. Carry handle
also serves as the lower cord wrap.
