What to do if my Oreck XL U2200RD does not pick up dirt?

If your Oreck Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up dirt, several issues could be the cause. The filter bag might be full, or the nozzle or intake pivot could be clogged. A broken or stretched belt, a worn brush, a clogged bag tube, or bag pores clogged with fine dust could also be responsible. In some cases, the impeller fan might be broken, or the revolving brush might not be even at both ends. Replace the filter bag, clear any obstructions, replace the belt, or check the brush roll end cards to ensure that the words 'OLD' or 'NEW' match at each end. If the impeller fan is broken, return the vacuum to a service center for repair.
