  If your Oregon Chainsaw motor isn't running, there could be several reasons. First, make sure the saw is properly plugged in. Check the extension cord for any damage; if damaged, replace it. Also, the GFCI outlet might have tripped; unplug the extension cord, reset the GFCI, and plug the cord back in. Try plugging the extension cord into a different outlet in case the current one is faulty. Ensure that you press the trigger lock-out before squeezing the trigger switch. Lastly, debris in the side cover can cause issues; unplug the chainsaw, remove the side cover, and clean out any debris.

  Your Oregon Chainsaw might stop while cutting due to a couple of reasons. It's possible that the chain is pinched in the cut. You can undercut the limb to relieve the pressure on the limb. Alternatively, the cord could be damaged or severed. If the extension cord is damaged, replace it. If the chainsaw cord is damaged, do not use it and contact an approved service location.

What to do if motor runs but Oregon Chainsaw chain does not rotate?

  If the motor of your Oregon Chainsaw runs, but the saw chain does not rotate, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The chain might not be engaging the drive sprocket, so reinstall the chain, making sure the drive links on the chain are fully seated on the drive sprocket. Alternatively, the guide bar nose sprocket might not be turning, in which case you should replace the guide bar.
