General considerations when using all-
metal lock-nuts:
• Do not lubricate all-metal lock-nuts.
•
Bolts and washers can be reused,
but nuts can only be reused once.
If reuse history is unknown, install
new nuts.
• If a bolt must be replaced the nut
installed on it must also be
replaced.
• Fasteners must be torqued from
the nut to achieve correct clamp
load.
