Starting up
Start
1. Checktheelectricalconnectionsandpiperouting.Turnonallexternalfuses.
2. Openallthevalvesexceptthedrainvalveandllthesystemwithwater.
-Ifthewaterlevelinthepoolislowerthantheheater,llthepoolwiththeheaterturnedoff(switchinpositionO)andstart
thesystempumptollthesystemwithwater.
-Ifthesystemhasaby-pass,opentheby-passvalvehalfway.Makenaladjustmentslater.
3. Startthepump.
Temperature setting
4. TurntheswitchontheelectricalheaterON.
5. Setthedesiredpooltemperature(°C)byturningthethermostatknob.
6. Iftheowofwateriscorrectandthepoolwatertemperatureislowerthanthesetting,immersionheaters1and2willstart
withapprox20secondsdelaytoheatthewaterandthegreen“operating”lampwilllightup.Iftheelectricalheaterhasmore
thantwoimmersionheaters,no.3willstartafteranadditional5secondsandno.4approx5secondsafterthat.Thisisto
avoidoverloadingthepowersupply.
7. Checkthatwatertemperatureinthepoolafterawhileandmakeanyneadjustmentstothethermostat.
Water ow/Bypass adjustment
Thewaterowisadjustedusingavalve(item22,gure2)ontheby-pass.
Adjusttheby-passvalvesothattheowthroughtheelectricalheaterisbetween170–300l/min.Topreventunauthorized
adjustment,operatingproblemsordamagetotheelectricalheater,werecommendthatthehandleoftheby-passvalveis
removedoncenaladjustmenthasbeenmade.
Maintenance
Notethattheelectricalheateronlyoperateswhenthewaterinthesystemiscirculating.Itshouldnotoperateifthecirculation
pumpisturnedofforifthedesiredtemperaturehasbeenreached.
Ifthewaterinthesystemisstationaryformorethanaweek,theelectricalheatershouldbedrainedofwater.
Ifthereisariskoffreezing,thepowertotheelectricalheaterandcirkulationpumpmustbeturnedoffandtheelectricalheater
andremainderofthesystemdrainedofwater.
Openthesystemdrainvalveandletitremainopenuntilitistimetostartupthepoolagain.
Whenreverseushingandcleaningthepoolsystem’slter,theelectricalheatermustbeturnedoff.
Inareasofveryhardwater,theimmersionheaterscanaccumulateacoatingofcalciumafteralongtime,whichreducesthe
poweroftheelectricalheaterandthelifeoftheimmersionheaters.Insuchcases,contactanauthorizedelectricianwhocan
performaregularinspectionoftheimmersionheatersandremoveanysuchcoatingwhennecessary.
Draining the heater
1. Turnofftheelectricalheaterandturnoffthemainswitchbeforedraining.
2. Closetheshut-offvalve(item12gure2).
3. Openthedrainingvalve(item13gure2).
4. Undotheelectricalheater’soutletconnection(markedwitharedarrow)alittletoletairin.Theelectricalheatercontains
approx.15litresofwater.Makesurethatallwaterhasdrainedout.
5. Re-tightentheelectricalheateroutletconnectionagainoncetheheaterisfullydrained.
6. Closethedrainingvalve.
