5. Once drainage is complete, close the clamp on the dispensing line.
6. Disconnect the dispensing line in accordance with the requirements of the
connection device and your own site procedures.
5.6.2 Dispensing from the Top
D
ispensing from the Allegro system is usually performed via the bottom port, but fluid
can be dispensed via the top ports if required. However, when emptying from the top,
sufficient tubing length on the top ports must be allowed to compensate for the col-
lapse of the system during emptying.
In order to dispense from the top, there should have been no air introduced during
filling so that the top port is in direct contact with the liquid in the biocontainer.
Otherwise, use of a vent and bag weight is required.
5.7 Removing a 3D Biocontainer System from the Tote
1. Drain the 3D single-use biocontainer and tubing fully.
2. Close all clamps and disconnect the system completely from inlet and outlet tubing
and systems.
3. Remove the collapsed system after releasing the port bracket from its position by
disengaging the latches provided on the underside of the port bracket.
4. Remove the single-use system, by lifting out of the top (or via the access panel on the
500 L tote).
5. IMPORTANT: After removing the Allegro system, the Allegro tote port bracket should be
retained by detaching it from the hexagonal section of the Allegro system and reinstall it
in the tote for reuse. Spare port brackets are available to purchase if these are mislaid
(see section 7).
