Why is the ERROR/ALARM LED on my Panasonic FPG-PP22 Controller ON?
    • W
      wangshellyAug 17, 2025
If the ERROR/ALARM LED is ON because the system watchdog timer has been activated, set the mode selector of the Panasonic Controller from RUN to PROG mode and turn the power off and then on. If the ERROR/ALARM LED turns on again, there is probably an abnormality in the CPU. Please contact your dealer. If the program execution time is too long, set the mode selector from PROG to RUN mode. If the ERROR/ALARM LED turns on, check if instructions such as JP or LOOP are programmed in such a way that a scan can never finish. Also, make sure that interrupt instructions are executed in succession. Finally, check if the ERROR/ALARM LED is flashing.

What to do if Input indicator LEDs are ON in Panasonic FPG-PP22 Controller?
    • W
      william80Aug 20, 2025
If the input indicator LEDs are ON, monitor the input condition using FPWIN Pro. If the input monitored is TRUE, check the leakage current at the input devices and check the program again. Also, check for duplicate output errors and for outputs having been rewritten by high-level instructions. Check the program flow when instructions such as MC or JP are used. If the input monitored is FALSE, please contact your dealer.

How to fix ERROR/ALARM LED flashing on Panasonic Controller?
    • C
      Christine JonesAug 28, 2025
If the ERROR/ALARM LED is flashing on your Panasonic Controller, choose [Clear] in the PLC Status dialog box while in PROG mode. Alternatively, turn the power supply off/on while in PROG mode (this clears all of the contents of the operation memory except hold type data). As another option, execute the self-diagnostic error set instruction F148_ERR.

Why are all LEDs OFF on my Panasonic FPG-PP22 Controller?
    • M
      Melissa HughesAug 31, 2025
If all LEDs are OFF on your Panasonic Controller, check the power supply wiring. Also, check if the power supplied to the CPU is in the range of the rating and be sure to check the fluctuation in the power supply. If the power supplied to the CPU is shared with other devices, disconnect the power supply wiring to the other devices. If the LEDs on the CPU turn on at this moment, increase the capacity of the power supply or prepare another power supply for other devices. Please contact your dealer for further information.

How to troubleshoot No RS485 Communication on Panasonic Controller?
    • S
      Steven ClaySep 12, 2025
To troubleshoot No RS485 Communication in your Panasonic Controller, make sure the transmission cables have been securely connected between the two (+) terminals and the two (-) terminals of the stations. Ensure the characteristics of the transmission cables are within the specified range and all cables in the link are of the same type. Verify the terminating resistors have been correctly set on the first and on the last station only. Check that link areas do not overlap. When using FPG-COM4, set the baud rate in the system registers to either 19200bit/s or 115200bit/s and set DIP switch SW1-2 of the cassette to the same setting.
