Editing an Item in the Directory
Erasing an Item in the Directory
1 Press [] or [], then scroll to the desired
directory item by pressing [] or [].
•To search for the item by initial, see page 32.
2 Base unit: Press [FUNCTION/EDIT].
Cordless handset: Press the soft key ( ).
3 Edit the name (p. 31), then press [].
• If you do not need to change the name, press
[] then go to step 4.
4 Edit the phone number, then press [].
• If you do not need to change the number, press
[] then go to step 5.
•
To delete a digit, press [CLEAR] on the base unit
or press [HOLD/CLEAR] on the cordless handset.
To erase all of the digits, press and hold
[CLEAR] or [HOLD/CLEAR].
•To move the cursor, press [] or [].
5 Base unit: Press [] (Save).
Cordless handset: Press the soft key ( ).
6 Base unit: Press [EXIT].
Cordless handset: Press [OFF].
1 Press [] or [], then scroll to the desired
directory item by pressing [] or [].

2 Base unit: Press [CLEAR].
Cordless handset: Press [HOLD/CLEAR].
•To stop erasing, press [].
3 Base unit: Press [CLEAR] again.
Cordless handset: Press [HOLD/CLEAR]
again.
•“Clear” is displayed.
4 Base unit: Press [EXIT].
Cordless handset: Press [OFF].
