≥You cannot use Dolby Pro Logic, Super Surround, Center Focus, or adjust subwoofer level if you have connected headphones. (“ERROR”
appears on the display.)
≥You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound field systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound
field system off.

Store the sound settings indicated below for a disc so the unit recalls
them the next time you play it.

∫ Store the settings
1 Make the settings.
2 Press and hold [SHIFT]r[C.S.M].
∫ Recall the settings
The unit recalls the settings when you play the disc again.
≥The settings are replaced if you change them.
≥When you store settings for a 31st disc, the earliest settings
disappear.
≥Press [SHIFT]i[C.S.M] while “CSM” is lit and the settings return to
those that were on before the settings are recalled.
≥Press [SHIFT]i[C.S.M] while “CSM” is out and you are playing a
disc for which you stored settings and those settings are recalled.

Both were originally developed for use in

≥This unit automatically recognizes and decodes
these systems.

Dolby Pro Logic
Dolby Pro Logic is a decoding system that was
developed to get a better sense of presence from
sources encoded with Dolby Surround. The
feeling of position has been improved by the
addition of a separate center speaker channel.
Software encoded with Dolby Surround can
be identified with this mark (DVD, CD, Video
CD, Laser Disc, Video tape).
