Using the radio
AM frequency step
[Southeast\Asia,\Thailand,[the]Middle]East,\South]Africa,]
[Saudi[Arabia[and[[Kuwait[
The step is factory-set to 9-kHz, but you can change it to receive
broadcasts allocated in 10-kHz steps.
1 Press [SELECTOR] to select “FM”.
2 Press and hold [SELECTOR].
After a few seconds the display changes to show the current
minimum frequency. Continue to hold the button down. The
minimum frequency changes and the step is changed.
To return to the original step, repeat steps 1 and 2.
[Note]
After changing the setting, previously preset frequencies will be
cleared. Preset them again.
Use outdoor antennas if radio reception is poor.
Disconnect the antenna when the unit is not in use.
Do not use the outdoor antenna during an electrical storm.
Main unit only
Using an outdoor antenna (optional)
Leave the AM loop
antenna connected.
AM outdoor antenna
(Using a vinyl wire)
Run a piece of vinyl wire horizontally across a
window or other convenient location.
5 to 12 m
FM outdoor antenna (Using
a television antenna)
Disconnect the FM indoor antenna.
The antenna should be installed by a
competent technician.
