4. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Condition Troubleshooting Remedy
Rice boiling section
● Rice is not boiled.
(The indication lamp does
not come on).
Is the power cord conductive?
NO
● Replace the cord.
Is the thermal fuse conductive?
NO
● Isolate the cause which melts
the thermal fuse, correct the
cause and replace the fuse.
Is the micro switch (across C to NC)
conductive when the riceboling process is
tumed on?
NO
● Replace the micro switch.
Is the rice boiling control lever properly
adjusted?
NO
● Replace the control lever.
● Rice is not boiled (The
indication lamp is lit.)
Is the cast heater conductive? ●
Replace the cast heater.
● The thermal fuse is blown
off.
Is the micro switch (across C to
NC) conductive when rice boiling
process is tumed off?
● Replace the micro switch.
Is the rice boiling control lever
properly adjusted?
● Adjust the control lever.
Does the center thermostat
operate properly? (Check with
the evaporation test.)
● Replace the center thermostat.
The operation is wrong.
(Forcibly flow the electric current.)
● Explain the proper operation.
When receiving a rice boiler to be repaired. Be sure to check that the main body is completely
provided with the inner pan and the inner lid, and ask the condition (phenemenon) of the trouble
in detail. Before troubleshooting single parts, be sure to disconnect the power supply plug from
the receptacle.
