Overview

This document provides operating instructions for Panasonic LED TVs, including models TX-40GX700B, TX-50GX700B, TX-58GX700B, and TX-65GX700B. It covers essential information for safe and effective use, from initial setup to daily operation and maintenance.

Function Description

The Panasonic LED TV is designed to provide a high-quality viewing experience with various features for entertainment and connectivity. It supports digital services, including DVB, data broadcasting, and IPTV functions, although the availability of these features may vary by country, area, broadcaster, service provider, and network environment. The TV is equipped with a built-in wireless LAN for internet connectivity, allowing access to internet apps provided by respective service providers. However, Panasonic does not guarantee the availability or continuity of these services.

The TV supports 4K and HDR compatible equipment, enabling the display of high-definition 4K content and expanded color gamut images. It features multiple HDMI terminals, with HDMI1 and HDMI2 specifically recommended for 4K/HDR compatible equipment. The [HDMI 2.0 Setting] in the Setup Menu allows users to select the appropriate mode for better compatibility and precise image output from 4K compatible devices.

For audio, the TV includes a headphone jack and supports external amplifiers for multi-channel sound, such as Dolby Digital 5.1ch. HDMI2 supports ARC (Audio Return Channel) function for simplified audio connections with compatible amplifiers. If an amplifier without ARC is used, the DIGITAL AUDIO output can be utilized.

The TV also offers recording capabilities via a USB HDD connected to the USB 1 port. It supports Common Interface (CI) modules for encrypted channels, with specific instructions for insertion and removal. The Media Player function allows users to filter and play various content types, including photos, videos, and music.

  • Stubborn dirt: For stubborn dirt, first dust the surface, then dampen a soft cloth with clean water or diluted neutral detergent (1 part detergent to 100 parts water). Wring the cloth firmly to prevent liquid from entering the TV. Carefully wipe the dirt and then wipe away all moisture.
  • Cautions: Avoid using hard cloths or rubbing too hard to prevent scratches. Do not use insect repellent, solvent, thinner, or other volatile substances, as they can degrade surface quality or peel paint. The display panel is specially treated and can be easily damaged; avoid tapping or scratching with fingernails or hard objects. Prevent rubber or PVC substances from prolonged contact with the cabinet and pedestal, as this can degrade surface quality.

  • Wipe the mains plug with a dry cloth regularly to prevent moisture and dust from causing fire or electrical shock.

Battery for the Remote Control:

  • Installation: Ensure correct polarity (+ or -) when installing batteries.
  • Replacement: Replace only with the same or equivalent type. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  • Disposal: Do not burn or break up batteries. Do not expose them to excessive heat. Dispose of batteries correctly.
  • Storage: Remove batteries from the unit if not used for a prolonged period to prevent leakage, corrosion, and explosion.

General Safety Precautions:

  • Mains plug and lead: Always insert the mains plug fully. To completely turn off the TV, pull the mains plug from the socket. Disconnect the plug when cleaning. Do not touch with wet hands. Do not damage the mains lead by placing heavy objects on it, near high temperatures, or by pulling/twisting it. Use only the supplied mains lead.
  • Take care: Do not remove covers or modify the TV. Do not expose the TV to rain or excessive moisture. Do not insert foreign objects into air vents. If insects or dust/smoke particles enter the TV, it may cause damage or malfunction.
  • Ventilation: Allow at least 10 cm space around the TV to prevent excessive heat. Do not cover ventilation openings.
  • Moving the TV: Disconnect all cables before moving. At least two people are required. Do not hold the screen part.
  • Excessive volume: Avoid excessive volume from headphones to prevent irreversible hearing damage.
  • Built-in wireless LAN: Do not use for unauthorized networks. Avoid high temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture. Be aware that data transmitted over radio waves may be intercepted. Keep the TV away from other 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz devices to avoid interference.
  • Fire prevention: Keep candles and other open flames away from the product.
  • Pedestal: Do not disassemble or modify. Use only the supplied pedestal. Ensure screws are securely tightened during setup. Install/remove with at least two people.
