We will now discuss the connections that are related to the ILDA DB-
25 signals, starting with a discussion of the scanner amplifiers.
The ILDA DB-25 connector primarily contains signals that control the
motion of the beam (i.e. X-Y scanning), and the color and brightness
of the beam (i.e. R, G, B beam power). There are other signals on the
DB-25, such as the projector interlock mentioned above, a shutter
signal, and some multi-propose “user” signals, but this article only
discusses motion and color related signals, as well as the shutter and
projector interlock.
