APPLICATIONS — HVAC
Objective: To reduce utility costs by time-of-day scheduling for night
setback/setup and damper control. Use Channel 1 for daytime/night-
time thermostat, Channel 2 for damper.
Sequence of Operation:
Channel 1 — Before occupancy of the building, the HVAC system is
started when timer switches control from night thermostat to day
thermostat. At or near end of occupancy, timer transfers control of
HVAC system from day thermostat to night thermostat.
Channel 2 — Relay contacts 6 and 7 close, opening dampers during
building open hours. Relay contacts 6 and 7 open, closing dampers
during building closed hours.
Note that wiring diagrams differ for different models. Check product
label to make sure you are using the correct wiring diagram.
