SYMPTOMS POSSIBLE CAUSES CORRECTIVE ACTION
Carriage assembly
makes no noise
and will not go up
or down
• Power supply not plugged into electrical
outlet
• Power cord not plugged into power supply
• Power supply not plugged into power
terminal on carriage assembly
• Directional switch on carriage assembly is
in the neutral position
• Terminals in the motor enclosure are not
secure
• Power supply has malfunctioned
• Plug power supply into electrical outlet
• Plug power cord into power supply
• Plug power supply into power terminal on carriage assembly
• Push directional switch to the up or down position
• Push terminals together
• Replace power supply
Motor runs but
carriage assembly
does not go up
and/or down
• Carriage is pressing against a limit or
obstruction
• Carriage has moved up or down beyond its
usable range
• Gears and cogs in carriage assembly are
not moving freely
• Quick release and brake block on carriage
assembly is secured
• Poor connection between coupling
connecting motor to driveshaft
• Reverse direction of carriage assembly and remove obstruction
• Reverse direction of carriage assembly
• Remove obstruction in gears or cogs in carriage assembly
• Loosen quick release lever to release brake block
• Align the flats on the motor shaft and the gear shaft with the
set screw location in the coupling and tighten set screws.
Chain slaps against
upright
Chain is too loose Adjust chain tensioning assembly to tighten chain
Carriage assembly
is slow to change
directions
Chain is too loose Adjust chain tensioning assembly to tighten chain
Carriage assembly
"drops" slightly
when traveling
down
Chain is too loose Adjust chain tensioning assembly to tighten chain

Bearing wear Adjust the three set screws on the carraige assembly (tray side)

Work tray is loose Bolts under work tray are loose Tighten four bolts under work tray
Upright leans
when stand is in
use
• Fasteners connecting upright, upright
supports and base not tight
• Base is not level
• Tighten fasteners connecting upright, upright supports and
base
• Adjust base leveling set screws
Top tube moves
or shifts in the
carriage, or makes
noise when the
carriage is in mo-
tion
Top tube bolt is loose
Apply appropriate strength threadlocker and tighten top tube
bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft-lbs)
USB does not
charge plugged in
device
• Power supply not plugged into electrical
outlet
• Power cord not plugged into power supply
• Power supply not plugged into power
terminal on carriage assembly
• USB power supply terminal in the carriage
assembly is not secure
• USB board has been damaged or has
malfunctioned
• Plug power supply into electrical outlet
• Plug power cord into power supply
• Plug power supply into power terminal on carriage assembly
• Push power supply terminal into USB board
• Replace USB board
Troubleshooting

ALWAYS UNPLUG PRS-33.2 FROM ELECTRICAL OUTLET BEFORE ANY ADJUSTMENT, MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR TASKS ARE PERFORMED. NEVER
OPERATE THE PRS-33.2 WITHOUT THE COVER INSTALLED ON THE CARRIAGE ASSEMBLY.
