Installation base
The installation base must be level, solid and free from vibration. It must be capable of bear-
ing the dryer’s weight. You will nd the dryer’s weight in the technical data in the appendix.
Please add another 10% to the dryer’s weight in your calculations. This will ensure the mois-
ture trapped by the desiccant later is accounted for.
Lateral clearances
The dryer should be erected with suf cient
clearance above, to the sides and behind so
that maintenance work can be carried out
and the drying agent can be changed without
hindrance (see illustration).

Required clearances at the top

Lifting devices
You should have lifting devices with an ade-
quate load capacity available for assembling
and maintaining individual parts such as the
vacuum pump.
