Installation & Operating Instructions for the
Owner’s Installation ,Manual
WARNING: SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER
1. To avoid possible electric shock, turn off the electricity at the main fuse box or circuit panel before you begin the fan installation or before servicing
the fan or installing accessories.
2. Read all instructions and safety information carefully before installing your fan and save these instructions.
3. Make sure all electrical connections comply with local codes or ordinances and the National Electrical Code. If you are unfamiliar with electric
wiring, please use a qualified and licensed electrician.
4. Make sure you have a location selected for your fan that allow clear space for the blades to rotate, and at least seven (7) feet of clearance
between the floor and the fan blade tips. The fan should be mounted at least thirty (30) inches from walls or other upright structures.
5. WARNING: The outlet box and ceiling support joist used must be securely mounted, and capable of supporting at least 100 pounds. To reduce
the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, mount to the outlet box marked acceptable for fan supported and use mounting screws provided
with the outlet box. The box must be supported directly by the building structure.
6. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, mount to outlet box marked “acceptable for fan support” and use mounting
screws provided with the outlet box most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may
need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
7. Electrical diagrams are for reference only. Light kits that are not packed with the fan must UL listed and marked suitable for use with the model
fan you are installing. Switches must be UL. general use switches. Refer to the instructions packaged with the light kits and switches for proper
assembly.
8. After installation is complete, check that all connections are absolutely secure.
9. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into outlet box. The wires should be
spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
10. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire, do not use this fan with any solid-state fan speed control device, or rheostat.
11. Do not separate the reverse switch until the fan has come to a complete stop.
12. Do not insert anything into the fan blades while they are rotating.
13. WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade brackets (also referred to as “flanges”) during assembly or after installation. Do
not insert objects in the path of the blades.
14. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
15. Do not use water or detergent when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
NOTE: The important safety precautions and instructions appearing in the manual are not meant to cover all possible conditions and situations that
may occur. It must be understood that common sense and caution are necessary factors in the installation and operation of this fan.
NOTE: This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities are different or are

Overview

This document provides installation and operating instructions for a ceiling fan, emphasizing safety precautions, proper installation procedures, and maintenance guidelines to ensure correct function and longevity of the product.

Function Description

This device is a ceiling fan designed to circulate air within a room, offering multiple speed settings and a reverse function to optimize air movement for different seasons. It also integrates a light fixture, providing illumination in addition to air circulation. The fan is controlled via a remote, allowing users to adjust fan speed, turn the fan and light on/off, set light brightness, and utilize timer functions for automated shutdown. The reverse function enables the fan to operate in two modes: downdraft mode for cooling during warmer months and updraft mode for circulating warm air during colder months. The integrated LED light offers adjustable brightness, with an auto-resume feature that recalls the last brightness setting used.

Usage Features

The ceiling fan offers a comprehensive set of features designed for user convenience and comfort. Installation requires careful attention to electrical connections and secure mounting to an outlet box rated for fan support, capable of holding at least 100 pounds. The fan should be positioned to allow at least seven feet of clearance from the floor to the blade tips and thirty inches from walls or other structures to ensure safe and effective operation. Electrical connections must comply with local codes and ordinances, and it is recommended to consult a qualified electrician if unfamiliar with wiring.

The fan's operation is managed by a remote control, which provides intuitive access to all functions. Users can select from six fan speeds: Low, Medium Low, Medium, Medium High, High, and Extra High, allowing for precise control over air circulation intensity. A dedicated "Fan off" button immediately stops the fan. The reverse button allows users to switch the direction of blade rotation, enabling the fan to function effectively in both cooling and heating seasons.

Timer functions are integrated into the remote, offering options to automatically turn the fan off after 2, 4, or 8 hours. This feature is particularly useful for energy saving or for use during sleep. The light function is also controlled by the remote. A single press turns the light ON or OFF, while pressing and holding the button allows users to set the desired brightness level. The light features an auto-resume function, meaning it will return to the last brightness setting used when turned on again.

It is crucial to ensure all connections are absolutely secure after installation. Spliced conductors should be carefully pushed upward into the outlet box, with grounded and equipment-grounding conductors spread apart on opposite sides. The fan should not be used with solid-state fan speed control devices or rheostats, as this can lead to electrical shock or fire. The reverse switch should only be operated when the fan has come to a complete stop. Users are warned against inserting anything into the fan blades while they are rotating or bending the blade brackets during assembly or installation, as this can cause personal injury or damage.

Maintenance Features

Maintaining the ceiling fan is straightforward and primarily involves periodic cleaning. Regular cleaning helps preserve the aesthetic finish and ensures optimal performance. Users should always turn off the electricity at the main fuse box or circuit panel before attempting any cleaning or maintenance tasks to prevent electric shock.

For cleaning the fan and its blades, a soft brush or a lint-free cloth is recommended. This helps avoid scratching the painted finish. It is explicitly stated that water or detergents should not be used for cleaning the ceiling fan, as this could damage the motor or the blades and pose a risk of electrical shock. A dry dust cloth or a lightly dampened cloth is generally suitable for most cleaning needs.

The fan's motor is equipped with permanently lubricated ball bearings, eliminating the need for oiling. This reduces the long-term maintenance burden for the user.

In the event of fan wobble, which can occur due to the fan being mounted on a rubber grommet to absorb vibrations, several troubleshooting steps are provided. Users should first check that all screws securing the mounting bracket and downrod are secure. If wobbling persists, a balancing kit is included to help correct the issue. The procedure involves checking that all blade and blade arm screws are secure and measuring the distance from the ceiling to the tip of each blade to ensure equal levels within 1/8 inch (0.32 cm). If the wobble is still noticeable after these steps, the balancing kit can be used. As a final measure, interchanging two adjacent blades can sometimes redistribute weight and achieve smoother operation.

Users are warned against bending the blade arm during installation, balancing, or cleaning, and against inserting foreign objects between rotating fan blades, to prevent personal injury. Occasional small noises are normal, especially during quiet periods, and most noises associated with a new fan typically disappear after a 24-hour "breaking-in" period.

The manual emphasizes that these safety precautions and instructions cover common conditions and situations, but common sense and caution are always necessary. It also notes that the product is not intended for use by individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or trained by a responsible person. Children should also be supervised to ensure they do not treat the appliance as a toy.
