Current is the same at all points in the circuit, because it is a series
loop. Because we're only measuring voltage dropped across the
subject resistance (and not the wires' resistances), though, the
calculated resistance is indicative of the subject component's
resistance (R
subject)
alone.
4.6. Measuring
4.6.1. DC/AC Voltage measurement
1. Set the black test lead into the negative COM jack and the red
test lead into the V Ω Cap mA E2 Jack
2. Set the function switch to the V position.
3. Use the MODE button to select AC or DC Voltage
4. Connect the test leads in parallel to the circuit under test.
5. Read the voltage measurement on the LCD display
