AUX IN (J)
You can also listen to external audio devic-
es by connecting the cable (not included)
to the AUX IN jack.
USB CONNECTION (K)
Playback of music fi les
You can playback music fi les which are
saved on an USB stick by plug in the USB
stick.
Charging external devices
External devices can be charged via USB
with this product. Connect the device to
the USB port (output: 5 V/ 500 mA).
Note:
USB charging cable is not included (please
use cable provided with your external de-
vice, if any)
SPEAKER CONNECTION (N)
Unwind the speaker cables and connect
them to the main unit.
ANTENNA CONNECTION (M)
Connect the wire antenna to the aerial
socket.
INSERTING BATTERY
Slide the battery compartment cover in the
direction of the arrow and pull it out. Insert
the new battery (Type AAA, 1.5 V
) ,
paying attention to correct polarity. Slide
the battery compartment cover back on
and let it snap into place.
Operation
TURNING THE UNIT ON
Press the button to switch on the unit.
ADJUSTING THE ANTENNA
For optimal reception, extend the antenna,
move to fully extend and adjust it.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
The volume can be adjusted during play-
back with the volume control.
General Setting
TIME SETTING
The time can only be set in standby mode:
1. Press the CLOCK button for approx. 2
seconds. Select a time format (24/12
hrs) with the
/ button and con-
fi rm with CLOCK button.
2. The time (hr) appears fl ashing on the
display. Set the time (hr and min) with
/ button and confi rm each with
CLOCK button.
ALARM SETTINGS
The timer setting can only be set in stand-
by mode.
1. Press and hold ALARM on the remote
control. On the display appears shortly
“TIMER”.
2. Use
/ to select one of the fol-
lowing alarm mode:
FM > DISC > USB > DAB
Confi rm by pressing ALARM.
3. Set the time (hr and min) with the
/
button and confi rm each with
ALARM button.
4. Set the volume of the alarm with the
/ button and confi rm with
ALARM button.
5. The alarm is set and “TIMER” appears
on the display.
6. To turn off the alarm, press ALARM.
SLEEP TIMER
1. Press SLEEP to select a period:
• SLEEP OFF
• SLEEP 120
• SLEEP 90
• SLEEP 60
• SLEEP 45
• SLEEP 30
• SLEEP 15
2. The sleep timer is set and “SLEEP” ap-
pears on the display.
3. To turn off the sleep timer, press
SLEEP repeatedly to select “SLEEP
OFF”. “SLEEP” disappears from the
display.
EQUALISER
You can adjust the sound setting directly
with the button EQ on the remote control:
FLAT > CLASSIC > ROCK > POP > JAZZ
