The Peavey XR 1000L is a 1000-watt, 8-channel powered mixer designed for musicians, offering a comprehensive all-in-one solution for audio mixing and amplification. Function Description:

The XR 1000L serves as a central hub for audio input, mixing, effects processing, and amplification. It accepts up to eight combination XLR and 1/4" inputs, allowing for a variety of microphones and instruments to be connected. The mixer includes a digital effects processor, graphic EQs for both main and monitor outputs, and a selectable power section for main or monitor use. It also features media playback capabilities via USB, SD card, and Bluetooth.

Amp Limiter:

Limits amplifier power just before clipping. Holds amp power without clipping and can be driven up to 18 dB past maximum output.

Usage Features:

Channel Strip Controls (Channels 1-8):

High EQ: Shelving type active tone control (+/-15 dB at 12 kHz) for treble frequencies.
Mid-Morph® EQ: Unique mid-range control that cuts at 250 Hz to reduce muddiness or boosts at 4 kHz for vocal intelligibility.
Low EQ: Shelving type EQ (+/-15 dB at 80 Hz) for bass frequencies.
Monitor Send: Adjusts channel signal level to the monitor mix.
EFX - Digital Effects: Adjusts channel signal level to the internal effects processor.
Level: Sets the signal level sent to the main mix.
Clip LED: Indicates signal overload (red).
SIG LED: Indicates signal presence (green).
MIC/LINE Input (Channels 1-6): Combination jack for 1/4" (balanced/unbalanced) or XLR (balanced, low-impedance) inputs.
MIC/HI-Z Input (Channel 7): 1/4" TS unbalanced input for high impedance sources like acoustic/electric guitars.
MIC/MEDIA-MP3 Input (Channel 8): XLR balanced input for microphones or pre-recorded music, with RCA/1/8" inputs and Bluetooth® for media.

Media Input Section:

Effects Section:

Kosmos®-C: Special circuitry for natural bass enhancement and clarity for dull signals.
Master Mute LED: Indicates when master mute is activated.
Master Mute: Mutes channels 1-7, preventing signal to the power amplifier (does not affect channel 8).
Effects Type Table: Lists available effects and their abbreviations.
EFX LED: Indicates the currently selected effect type.
Parameter Control: Encoder to adjust parameters of the selected effect.
Clip LED (Effects): Blinks red when signal to effects section is too hot.
EFX Mute: Bypasses the effects section, allowing listening to the dry signal.
Effects Select: Encoder to turn and push to select the desired effect.

Front Panel Connections & Controls:

Phantom Power Switch: Applies +15 VDC to all input XLR connectors for condenser microphones.
Bluetooth® Activation Button: Press and hold to power Bluetooth on/off and enter pairing mode (PIN 7878). Press and hold for 10 seconds to clear paired device memory.
Bluetooth® LED: Blinks when finding a signal, solid when paired.
Rec Level: Adjusts main signal level to RCA record outputs.
RCA Record Out: Stereo RCA jacks for recording devices.
Footswitch: 1/4" TRS jack for a dual button footswitch (Peavey 03014070) to defeat effects and activate master mute.
Monitor Out: 1/4" jack for external power amplifier from the monitor mix.
Main Out: 1/4" jack for external power amplifier from the main mix.

USB/SD MP3 Player:

Mode: Toggles between USB and SD card input; long press turns MP3 player on/off.
Play/Pause: Short press for play/pause; long press for navigation mode to select folders.
Stop: Stops current file playback.
Repeat: Toggles between ALL, RANDOM, and SINGLE repeat modes.
Track Skip: Short press skips tracks; long press for fast forward/rewind. Used to increment/decrement folders in navigation mode.
USB Drive Slot: Accepts USB memory sticks up to 32Gb.
SD Card Slot: Accepts SD cards up to 32Gb.

Maintenance Features:

Power Switch: Main power switch. Fuse: Main safety fuse for AC line voltage. Must be replaced with the exact type and rating. Fuse must be changed if main AC voltage is changed. AC Power Inlet: Receptacle for IEC line cord. Proper AC voltage must be supplied. Grounding: Never break off the ground pin. Ensure proper grounding to prevent shock/fire hazard. Voltage Selector Switch: Allows selection between 115VAC / 60Hz or 230VAC / 50Hz. Requires removal of plastic cover and fuse change. Speaker Outputs: Two-conductor 1/4" and Speakon jacks per channel. Each amp rated at 4 ohms minimum impedance. Use speaker cables, not instrument cables.

Ventilation: Allow 6" (15.5 cm) clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.
