You may have selected an unsuitable dishwashing program; try a program with a high temperature like Intensive 70° to dissolve grease. Ensure you are using the correct detergent dosage for your water hardness. Avoid using old detergent and avoid large packages. Make sure you are loading dishes correctly, not covering porcelain with large bowls and not placing tall glasses in the corners. Place dishes so they sit steady. Clean the coarse and fine filters, and make sure they are fitted correctly. Also, verify the yellow drainage pump stop is in place.

  If your Pelgrim dishwasher does not start, ensure that you have pressed the start button, and the display should start counting down. Check that the door is properly closed and that the door lock has clicked into place. If you opened the dishwasher mid-cycle, close the door and wait for the program to continue. If the Delayed start option is selected, press and hold the relevant button for three seconds to cancel it. Also, check if the plug is correctly inserted into the wall socket and if a fuse or circuit breaker has been tripped.

  If you cannot close the door of your Pelgrim dishwasher, ensure that the baskets are correctly positioned horizontally and that dishes are not blocking the baskets from sliding properly into place. If the door lock does not click into place, open the door, press and hold Automatic door opening until the display counts down, wait until the countdown ends (60 seconds), then close the door and check that the door lock clicks into place.
