1 eneral Warnngs and autons
WARNIN
1 Do not expose the sdestream anaesthetc gas montorng
module to heat
2 The sample gas must not be exhausted to ambent ar
To prevent contamnaton of ambent ar and naccurate
measurement values durng zerong and calbraton,
exhaust gas from the anaesthesa machne must be
removed by an anaesthetc gas scavengng system Ths
requrement must be observed durng test procedures as
well as durng use wth a patent
3 Always use the water trap to avod cross-nfecton and
damage to the gas module
4 heck the water trap for damage (cracks, etc) and replace f
damaged
To avod cross-nfecton, the water trap must be replaced
every four weeks
5 The operator must be famlar wth and strctly follow the
gudelnes detaled n the user manual for the Prma 465
and accessores
6 The user manual for the Prma 465 must be avalable at
all tmes
7 You must dsconnect the sample lne and seal the Luer
lock on the patent Y-pece durng cardopulmonary
bypass operatons
You must use only the Penlon recommended sample lne
Do not use a standard pressure lne or an ntravenous
catheter lne nstead of the Penlon recommended sample
lne
To avod cross-nfecton, always use a new sample lne
for each patent
8 The anaesthetc gas module s not MRI compatble
9 Use only
accessores approved
for use wth the
anaesthetc gas module
AUTION
1 Before use, you must make sure that the sample lne s
correctly attached to the patent and the equpment
2 The water trap must be empted every two days
3 Do not use the anaesthetc gas module wthout a water
trap
4 The anaesthetc gas module must be dsposed of n
accordance wth local regulatons
