Focus mode
Selecting the Focus Mode

Autofocus mode
The camera focuses on the object in the autofocus area
when the shutter release button is pressed halfway.
Use this mode when the distance to the subject is more
than 40 cm (16 in.).

Macro mode
This mode is used when the distance to the subject is
approx. 15 cm – 50 cm (5.9 in. – 19.7 in.). The camera
focuses on the object in the autofocus area when the
shutter release button is pressed halfway.
Pan Focus mode
This mode is used when shooting close and distant
subjects together or the subject is hard to focus on.
You can adjust the focus on a subject in the following
ranges.
When taking still pictures:
approx. 1.1 m (3.6 ft.) to
(wide end), approx. 4.5 m
(15 ft.) to
(tele end)
When taking movies:
approx. 0.6 m (1.97 ft.) to
(wide end), approx. 2.5 m (8.2
ft.) to
(tele end)

mode
This mode is used for taking distant objects.
