9. Potentiometers
With the potentiometers it is possible to adjust the following parameters. The designations for the
circuit-board version (LP) are indicated in brackets ().
Warning:
The setting of the n0 potentiometer is only permitted in operating mode
"Standby". Adjusting the n0 potentiometer while the motor is running (motor
contactor closed) or when the VersiBrake-L is in "Braking" mode may cause
a safety critical condition.
Note! If the potentiometer is adjusted to a position too far in clockwise or counter-
clockwise direction (e.g., end stop position), it may happen that no standstills
are detected. In this case, braking current flows until the end of the max.
braking time. The LED indicates „no standstill during the max. braking time“.
„I“, „(P2)“ Adjusting the braking current.
The braking current can be adjusted in the range from approx. 10% - 100% of the
rated device current. The adjustment is roughly linear.
„n0“, „(P1)“ Adapting the standstill threshold and braking behavior at motor standstill.
In a setting range of 20% - 100%, this potentiometer can be used to adapt the motor
standstill threshold to various motor types and applications, and to influence the
behavior of the braking current at motor standstill.
If the n0 potentiometer is set to less than 20%, the braking current generally flows
until the end of the max. braking time. The fault "no standstill during the maximum
braking time" is signaled .
The potentiometer has to be adjusted so that the braking current is switched off
approx. 1-1,5s after the motor has come to a standstill.
Factory-setting: approx. 40%.
