WARNING! Do not carry additional fuel contain-
ers in your vehicle. Fuel containers, either full or
empty, may leak, explode, and cause or feed a
fire. Do not carry extra fuel containers, even
empty ones are dangerous.
WARNING! Diesel fuel in the presence of an igni-
tion source (such as a cigarette) could cause an
explosion. You could be seriously injured. A
mixture of gasoline or alcohol with diesel fuel
increases this risk of explosion.
Do not remove a fuel tank cap near an open flame.
Use only the fuel and/or additives recommended for
your engine.
Specification: Use only Diesel Fuel, Grade 2–D, as recom-
mended by engine manufacturers. If you need further infor-
mation on Grade 2–D fuel specifications, consult the
Engine
Operation and Maintenance Manual
.
Location of Fuel Shut–Off Valves
If your vehicle is equipped with shut-off valves for the take-off
and return lines, they are located on the fuel lines entering
the top of the fuel tank. Fuel shut-off valves for the fuel cross-
over line are on the bottom of the fuel tank, at the crossover
line connection.
