53. Changing the motor toothed belt
Removal:
z Disconnect the machine lead cord
z Remove the housing covers as described in this manual.
z Remove the two screws 56 and 57 of the motor (fig. 117).
z Disengage the handwheel.
z Remove plastic cap 141.
z Remove handwheel screw 142 (fig. 118).
z Remove the complete handwheel.
z Remove toothed belt 59.
Refitting:
z Insert the new toothed belt 59 and press it up until there is enough space for the handwheel (fig. 117).
z Insert handwheel and place the toothed belt 59 correctly onto the handwheel pinion.
z Insert handwheel screw 142 and moderately tighten it.
z Fit the toothed belt onto motor pinion 58.
z Secure the motor with screws 56 and 57 and, at the same time, adjust the belt tension.
z Refit plastic cap 141.
z Refit the hosing covers as described in this manual.
z Carry out an electrical safety test in accordance with VDE 0701 using testing appliance ABB Metrawatt
M 5013.
