Oper at e your Pfaff select
Needle threader (Model 4.0)
To make threading the needle easier and
quicker, use the PFA FF needle threader
(22). Lower the presser foot. Turn the
handwheel until the needle is at its
highest position. Place the needle thread
under hook A and hold it taut. Move the
needle threader fully downwards and
turn it towards the needle so that the
small hook B goes through the needle eye.
Pl ace the t hr ead i nt o t he hook f r om below .
Turn the needle threader towards the rear,
releasing the thread carefully, and allow
the threader to move upw ards. You can
now pull the thread through the needle
ey e.
Threading the twin needle
Insert the twin needle.
Fi t the second spool pi n and p l ace one
sp ool of t hr ead on each p i n.
In the left threading slot (12) you will À nd
tension disk C. During threading, make
su r e t h at y ou p ass one t hr ead l ef t and on e
thread right over tension disk C.
Carry on threading in the usual way, but
make sure the threads are not twisted
with each other.
Pull the threads right and left into thread
guide (23) and thread the needles.
Note: You cannot use the needle threader for a
twin needle.
