The
batteries
are
exhausted
when
during
operation
the
first
LED’s
of
the
LED-meters

no
longer
light
up.

Remove
the
batteries
if
exhausted
or
if
they
will
not
be
used
again
for
a
long
period.
Note:
The
battery
supply
is
automatically
switched
off
when
the
setis
connected
to
the
mains
or
to
a
12
V
car
battery.
In
changing
over
to
battery
supply,
withdraw
the
plugs
from
the
mains
supply
socket
@
or
the
car
battery
supply
socket
@.
Mains
supply
@
Check
if
the
mains
voltage
as
shown
on
the
type
plate
(on
the
rear
of
the
set)
corresponds
to
your
local
mains
supply.
If
it
does
not,
consult
your
dealer
or
service
organisation.

Insert
the
female
plug
of
the
mains
lead
into
socket
@
and
the
mains
plug
into
the
wall
socket.
The
mains
supply
is
now
switched
on.
e
Todisconnect
the
set
from
the
mains
completely,
withdraw
the
mains
plug
from
the
wail
socket.
Important
note
for
users
in
U.K.:
When
fitting
a
mains
plug
to
the
mains
lead
proceed
as
follows:
The
wires
in
the
mains
lead
are
coloured
in
accordance
with
the
following
code:
Blue
=
Neutral,
Brown
=
Live.
As
these
colours
may
not
correspond
with
the
colour
markings
identifying
the
terminals
in
your
plug
proceed
as
follows:
The
Brown
wire
must
be
connected
to
the
terminal
which
is
marked
with
the
letter
L
or
coloured
Red.
The
Blue
wire
must
be
connected
to
the
terminal
which
is
marked
with
the
letter
N
or
coloured
Black.
Note:
This
apparatus
mustbe
protected
by
a3
Amp
Fuse
ifa
13
Amp
plugis
used
or,
if
any
other
type
of
plug
is
used,
by
a
5
Amp
Fuse
either
in
the
plug
or
adapter
or
at
the
distribution
board.

set
is
protected
against
a
wrong
polarity
connection,
however,
ask
your
dealer
to
make
a
proper
connection
to
your
car
battery
(9-14
V
DC,

to
the
centre
pin).

Insert
the
plug
of
the
supply
cable
into
socket

the
12
V
supply
is
now
switched
on.
POWER
ON/OFF

The
set
is
switched
on
and
off
with
POWER
button

The
first
LED
of
the
LED-meters
(
will
light
up
when
the
set
is
switched
on.
Important:
After
use
of
the
recorder
section,
always
press
the
STOP
button

first
before
switching
off
the
set
or
interrupting
the
supply.
When
you
switch
off
the
set
(or
interrupt
the
supply)
without
first
pressing
the
STOP
button
@,
the
EJECT
buttons
will
not
operate,
in
consequence
of
which
the
cassettes
cannot
be
taken
out.
