Firmware Upgrade
Installing the latest rmware
Periodically Philips will issue upgrades for
the rmware that was initially installed in
your recorder as the rmware is
continuously re ned for greater stability
and compatibility of the recorder.
Caution! Power supply must not be
interrupted during upgrade!
A
Get the version information of this
recorder by pressing SETUP on the
remote control.

Press
to select { Features } in the
menu, then press .

Recording

Feature Options
Press OK
Access Control
Status Display
Resume
Low Power Standby

Key in ‘1596’ to view the current
rmware information.
D
Visit the Philips website ‘www.philips.
com/support’ to check the availability of
the latest rmware upgrade. Download
the rmware to a CD-ROM.
E
Press OPEN CLOSE ç on the front of
the recorder to open the disc tray.
F
Insert the CD-ROM and press
OPEN CLOSE ç again.
The rmware will start to install on
the recorder automatically.
During the upgrade process, it is
normal that the recorder will turn on and
off occasionally.
