Before First Use

Using Your Steam Generator

Filling the Water Tank

Fill the water tank before every use when the water level is low or the 'water tank empty' light flashes.

Heating Up

Connect the plug to an earthed socket and press the on/off button to switch on the steam generator.

Carry Lock (Specific Types Only)

Press the carry lock release button to unlock the iron from the iron platform.

Temperature and Steam Setting

OptimalTemp technology allows ironing all fabrics without adjusting temperature or steam settings.

Ironing

Unfold ironing board, place garment, and start ironing when 'iron ready' light is steady. Includes steam trigger use.

Steam Boost Function

Press steam trigger twice quickly for high continuous steam output, improving ironing experience.

Vertical Steam Ironing

Remove wrinkles from hanging clothes by steaming vertically, touching garment lightly with soleplate.

Putting Down the Iron

Place the iron on the iron platform or horizontally on the ironing board when not in use.

Cleaning and Maintenance

General Cleaning

Clean the appliance with a moist cloth; heat soleplate and move over a moist cloth to remove stains.

Descaling

Perform descaling when EASY DE-CALC light flashes. Follow procedure before next use.

Descaling Procedure

Cool down for 2 hours, remove EASY DE-CALC knob, let water with scale flow into cup, reinsert knob.

Descaling the Soleplate

Clean soleplate with damp cloth. Fill tank with distilled water, switch on, wait 5 mins, iron thick cloth for 3 mins.

Cooling Down After Descaling

Let the steam generator cool down for 2 hours after descaling. Remove EASY DE-CALC knob to drain water.

Storage

Preparing for Storage

Switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket, and pour out water.

Storing the Steam Generator

Pour out water, lock iron, fold supply hose, store hose in compartment, fold and fasten mains cord.

Carrying the Steam Generator

Carry the steam generator with both hands or by the handle and supporting the bottom.
